Why Iqra AI exists
The Quran is studied around the world but the tools we use to learn it haven't kept up with how people learn today. Translations sit in PDFs, audio lives on YouTube, Tafseer is locked in dense scholarly volumes, and vocabulary practice is left to memory flashcards. Iqra AI brings these pieces together into one calm flow: listen, understand, save what you've learned, practice it later.
What the app does
- Plays each ayah in a deliberate three-stage sequence: translation TTS, then Arabic recitation, then three new keywords.
- Highlights every Arabic word in time with the recitation so you build sound-to-word recognition.
- Generates AI Tafseer grounded in classical sources (Ibn Kathir, Al-Jalalayn, At-Tabari) with sentence-by-sentence narration and follow-up chat.
- Lets you tap any Arabic word for an instant linguistic deep-dive: root, morphology, grammar and conjugations.
- Remembers the words you save and quizzes you on them later.
- Connects you with companions so the journey isn't a solo one.
What you can use without an account
Listening to the Quran with translation in your language requires no account. AI Tafseer, word analysis, vocabulary and practice need a free sign-in so we can sync your progress across devices.
